An American violinist will perform a one-off charity gig to support the restoration of a Kingston chapel.
Musician Michiko Theurer will perform in support of the Lovekyn Chapel restoration fund.
Theurer says: "The chapel will be undergoing much-needed restoration in summer 2015 and I wanted to help support these efforts with my playing.
"I believe that the experience of an architectural space is integral to how we hear and feel music."
The recital will include original works and favourites such as Bach’s Partita as well as the premiere of a piece written specifically for the occasion.
Theurer says: "I could not imagine a more perfect space to perform this than Lovekyn Chapel."
Michiko Theurer, Lovekyn Chapel, London Road, Kingston July 14, 7.30pm, £10, all proceeds to benefit the Lovekyn Chapel restoration fund, visit michikotheurer.com/lovekyn-chapel.html.
