Seven people have been arrested for suspected public order offences in Surbiton.

The arrests took place after patrolling police officers were flagged down by a member of the public in Brighton Road at about 11.35am today, a Kingston police spokesman said.

Further detail on the incident was not immediately available.

A witness said: “It was going on for about an hour and a half. There was two area cars and a police van.

“Looks like they blocked someone in a car in the alleyway. I don’t know what it was.”
