A new northern soul club playing all the hits from the 60s and 70s is making a return to Kingston for an all day party next month.

After a highly successful debut in January, the Kingston Soul Club will return to Kingston Men’s Working Club in Old London Road on Saturday, March 15.

Organiser and DJ Dennis Hyde will be spinning a mix of motown, R&B, 60s and 70s soul, and there will also be appearances from Ann Taylor, Keith Robinson, and special guest Alfie of Southampton Soul Club.

Mr Hyde said: “Our music is all about dance, all about people feeling that feeling. The music gets to you.

“Our first one in January attracted a large crowd, so this is a mini all-dayer from 4.30pm until midnight with the best northern soul, Motown,60s and 70s soul and R&B.

“The people get the beat and the rhythm.

“Our scene is also social - it gets the people together like a big community.”
