A man has denied instigating a 'crash-for-cash' scam in Tolworth.
Arkadiusz Warnawski, 39, is accused of deliberately causing a collision before escorting the other driver to a cash machine and demanding £100.
Wimbledon Magistrates' Court heard claims on Monday that Mr Warnawski, of Lodge Road, Croydon, caused a collision in his Volvo S80 in Tolworth, on July 16 this year.
He is also accused of driving without due care and attention in Warren Drive, Tolworth on the same day.
A trial will take place on December 9 at Kingston Crown Court. He was granted unconditional bail.
