A flood alert has been issued for the Hogsmill River following the St Jude storm.
The Environment Agency is reporting rising water levels in the river - which runs through Old Malden, New Malden, Berrylands and Kingston - with an increased likelihood of debris and falling trees causing blockages and resulting in flooding.
Further showers are expected throughout Monday and may cause short lived increases in river levels, the agency added.
