The spirit of the Blitz will be alive in Chessington during a 1940’s-themed evening for charity.
Yorda Adventures is hosting a Blitz and Buffet night at Surbiton Golf Club in Woodstock Lane, Chessington, on Saturday, October 12.
The event is to raise funds for the not-for-profit group, which organises play projects for children with learning disabilities in Kingston.
Live music will be provided by vocal group Apollo 5, who will perform an A Capella set before supper.
After dinner, guests are invited to dance the night away with some band classics from the 40s and 50s.
Dressing up is encouraged but not compulsory, although there is a prize for best outfit.
Yorda manager Laura Smyth said: "We often run quizzes and face paint to raise money but we wanted to try something completely different to encourage more of the community to get involved.
“All of our projects rely on donations so fundraising nights like these are essential for keeping services going."
