Smoke seen rising from the fire that has spread across five acres
Firefighters are tackling a huge fire which has spread across five acres of grass and corn in the Ewell area.
A Leatherhead fire station spokesman said they were called to the fire off Kingston Road about 20 minutes ago. It is believed to be near Charrington Bowl in Tolworth.
He said: "Two hectares of grass and corn is well alight. There are two appliances from Epsom and a water carrier from Leatherhead at scene."
