A man was stopped from climbing onto the tracks at Surbiton train station in the early hours of this morning.
British Transport Police (BTP) and Metropolitan Police officers were called shortly before 12.30am.
A BTP spokesman said officers talked to the 25-year-old before taking him out of the station.
He said: “The man has been detained under the mental health act and will undergo an assessment at hospital.”
