Fancy belting out Stairway to Paradise in unison with fellow shoppers while being slowly carried aloft an escalator in Kingston's biggest shopping centre?

Surbiton Escalator Choral Society (SECS) will be performing this Sunday at the Bentalls Store.

The group will be taking to the centre’s escalators to sing ‘I’ll Build a Stairway to Paradise’.

This is the second time the society will be performing the song at the centre. They made their first appearance in January 2011.

The performance is a part of the 'Big Sing', a non-profit organisation that uses music to bring communities together.

There will be a rehearsal for those who want to practice the song at 1.25pm at The Rose this Sunday ahead of the 3pm performance.
