A man who beat cancer twice, only to have it diagnosed for a third time last year, will give a talk about the importance of “a healthy attitude and a positive stance”.
Author Keith Hern, from Thames Ditton, was told he had throat cancer in 2007.
He will discuss his book about living with the disease, Bangers and Mash, at BoCo yoga centre in Surbiton on Saturday, June 1, at 1pm.
Mr Hern has visited the centre as part of his therapy since his third cancer diagnosis last August.
He said: “I go to BoCo for the yoga classes and the aromatherapy massages. When they asked me to speak at the open day on Saturday I was delighted to be involved.”
Since his first diagnosis Mr Hern has been treated for three different kinds of cancer, and raised £7,000 for the Royal Marsden Hospital by trekking across Iceland.
The open day aims to raise funds for the Astro Brain Tumour Fund and Oracle Cancer Trust.
