A Surbiton pub will open its doors with a new decoration and menu next month.
The Grove Pub on Grove Road will be refurbished in line with the ‘Real Pub’ brand, purchased by Greene King, and is due to open next month.
A spokesman for Greene King said: “The Grove pub is currently closed for extensive refurbishment and will open next month with a new look and exciting new fresh food offer.”
Lisa Bevan, owner of home-run bakery Fabuloaf in Surbiton, said: "I hope it’ll be an improvement and that the beer is served properly."
But ex-student Tristan O’Hana said: "It is a great pub. We lived quite nearby the pub, but it was quite nice and contemporary as it was."
