Hersham pensioner Nora Hands' hair proves a cut above the rest
9:00am Wednesday 30th January 2013 in News By Laura Proto
A pensioner from Hersham who had her hair dyed as a Union Jack last summer has gone one step further.
Nora Hands, 81, of Profumo Road, has had her hair dyed a rainbow of colours by Gary at Ditton Klippers, Thames Ditton.
Miss Hands said: “When I got to 80 I thought, ‘This is it, I have got to do something with my life’. It makes me feel young in the mind.
“Gary at Ditton Klippers is such a fantastic hairdresser.”
People in the street have admired Miss Hands’ new hair colours, with many asking to take photographs on their mobile phones.
The creation cost Miss Hands £60 and is a semi-permanent dye, which will last until her hair needs cutting.
