Search for missing Virginijus Tamosiunas finds body in Surbiton park

Police searching for missing man Virginijus Tamosiunas have found a body in a Surbiton park.

They believe the dead man discovered yesterday by a member of the public in an Oak Hill park yesterday evening is the missing 47-year-old although he has not been formally identified.

Police had taped off the Wood, between Surbiton station and Surbiton hospital, this afternoon.

Mr Tamosiunas had last been seen on June 1 and police said he may have had a bike and was known to enjoy visiting parks.

The death is being treated as unexplained.
