The recent launch of the new video game consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X) has been plagued with many problems since the release back in November. This article is for anyone who wishes to buy the new consoles to entertain themselves over this lockdown period.

Both consoles are currently sold out and have been sold out since their launch except through a second-hand dealer, this is due to multiple reasons. Firstly, they have been under attack by scalpers who buy the consoles with bots to sell them back at much higher prices to make money, this has caused the consoles to be incredibly rare. The consoles are only supposed to be around £400, so if there is anything up for sale for more than that, it is most likely a scam.

Secondly, due to the current pandemic, many factories have been forced to close, therefore making the supply of these consoles to go down rapidly. This has been known to be a problem since before the consoles were even released, however it is still an issue today.

Finally, the lack of new games coming out exclusively for the newer consoles render them nearly obsolete, so trying to get your hands on one of these may not even be worth the effort or extra money required.

So all in all, it is worth staying safe if you feel like buying one of these consoles, as there are plenty of malicious people willing to take your money for them.
