Only 7 days into the new year and already the world has been hit with some shocking scenes. On the 7th of January thousands of Donald trump supported stormed the US Capital building, which hasn’t been breached since 1814 when British soldiers set it on fire. However, these supporters were indicated by Donald trump to do so through a tweet he came out with.
“The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!”
Trump supporters have been outraged ever since he lost his place as president to Joe Biden, since then not many of them including Donald trump himself have managed to swallow this. Claims of the elections being rigged as Donald trump indicated to his followers who came to Washington for a, “save America march.” Donald Trump told his supporters,” We will not let them silence your voices, fight for trump, right for Trump!” These statements are what made thousands of supporters break into the US Capital causing violent acts of protesting involving a police officer being tragically killed by one of the protesters after being hit with a fire extinguish.
After being blocked by twitter Trump was forced to contradict himself by coming out with an unremorseful statement,” You are all very special but you must go home.”
Social media was outraged by how the situation was handled and how Mr Trump seems to have gotten away with what he has influenced. What caused even more outrage was that many peaceful protesters were injured and killed during the BLM movement but during the rioting at the US Capital building the majority of violent protestors came away completely unsaved.
