This traditional vintage teahouse is a vital hub for the Carshalton community. The tearoom despite not opening too long ago has thrived in my local area, well known for meeting up with friends and family and also hosting many private parties.

It has many interesting quirks such as themed afternoon teas (Halloween and Alice in Wonderland to name a few) and also has events that cater for different age groups all throughout the year. Dotty’s hosts many creative workshops for both young and old to enjoy. These include pottery classes and flower arranging, even some festive wreath making! It also has things such as chatter and natter; a way of getting to know and talk to other local people and make new friends which a really uncommon but so important these days. Dotty’s also has a boutique, so when you go for an afternoon tea pop in and have a look at the vintage treats inside from cloths and bags, to pretty fabrics and jewellery. The whole teahouse is really a treat for the eyes. The food is also to die for, beautiful cakes and lots of tasty meals and snacks, a kids menu and meal deal all for great value for money. Michelle Shields thinks " Dotty's is a really lovely environment for all the community". Dotty’s has so much to offer, already with three independent awards it shows how truly popular and successful the tea house is.

Dotty’s teahouse is definitely something for the to do list, if ever in the Carshalton area go and check it out, if you don’t you will be missing a treat!
