On Thursday the 15th of November, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to report at the Epsom and Ewell Business Excellence Awards, at the University for the Creative Arts, in Epsom. Held annually, the Epsom and Ewell Business Excellence Awards recognises the outstanding achievement of small businesses in the borough of Epsom and Ewell. The nominees who are shortlisted as finalists, from several categories such as Best Business for Commitment to the Community and Best Woman in Business, are invited to the event and the winners are presented with trophies.

Local business, Rainbow Gardening won the award for Best Business for Commitment to the Environment. Rainbow Gardening makes special efforts to use ethically sourced materials and encourages customers to recycle and compost, educating them on the importance of caring for the environment. Company directors James Petit and Tom Parsons were ‘absolutely chuffed to be taking home the award for Best Business for Commitment to the Environment’.
