Fly half James Lang is out to make the most of his second chance at Harlequins.

The Ashford-born 21-year-old has penned a two-year academy contract with the club having quit north Wales outfit Rugby Cogledd Cymru.

Lang has represented Scotland U18s and Wales Students during his career to date and orginally started his career at Quins before leaving the club as an 18-year-old.

Harlequins academy and global development director Tony Diprose said: “I am really looking forward to James joining the squad.

"He is a talented young player who has gone away and made his own path from the last time we saw him at 18 years old and has progressed hugely.

“His attacking style of play suits the way we want to develop as a team and I am confident we can help him achieve his rugby ambitions here at Harlequins.”

Lang added: “I am very excited to be joining Harlequins, a club renowned for their style of play and steeped in history and heritage.

"They are a very progressive club with an excellent outlook and I am looking forward to learning from the coaches and my fellow players.

“To be at a club with the calibre of players that they have and to play alongside the likes of Nick Evans will set me in good stead as I develop my game and achieve my ambitions.”
