The 2026 World Cup welcomes the ultimate David versus Goliath contest as four-time champions Germany face debutants Curacao in their opening match of the competition in Houston.
The Netherlands and Sweden are also involved in a four-game schedule stretching from Sunday afternoon to the early hours of Monday morning.
George Russell will hope his luck has turned after securing pole position for the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, where he will hope to end his Mercedes team-mate Kimi Antonelli’s streak of victories.
The World Cup of Darts concludes in Frankfurt, tennis fans can feast on the ongoing HSBC Championships from Queen’s Club, Bradford face Leigh in the Betfred Super League, while there is plenty of golf and cricket to complete another bumper day of action.
Curacao eager to upset the odds

Curacao’s bid to pull off what would surely rank as the biggest upset in World Cup history will be beamed live by ITV from Houston.
All the pressure will be on Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany as they start their bid for a fifth World crown, having failed to progress beyond the first round in each of the previous two editions.
The Group E match kicks off at 1800 and is followed by the Group F clash between the Netherlands and Japan, also on ITV, at 2100.
Night owls can stay up to watch Ivory Coast against Ecuador on the BBC at midnight, while Sweden and Tunisia meet at 0300 on Monday morning back on ITV.
Can George Russell reel in his Mercedes team-mate?

George Russell will start the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix on pole as he looks to recharge his world championship campaign.
Russell has failed to score at the previous two races, undone by an engine issue in Montreal before falling foul of penalties in Monaco which dropped him out of the points.
He pipped fellow Briton Lewis Hamilton to pole by just 0.064 seconds, while Kimi Antonelli, who has won five races in a row to top the standings by 66 points – will start the race third, ahead of Lando Norris and Max Verstappen.
You can follow all of the action live on both Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports F1 from 1355.
