All the key moments from AFC Wimbledon's foundation to their play-off final appearance tomorrow.

June 2002 : The Football Association sanctions moving Wimbledon FC to Milton Keynes despite the protests of Dons' fans.

July 2002 : AFC Wimbledon is founded by the Dons Trust and entered into the Combined Counties Premier League, seven tiers below the Championship status Wimbledon had occupied six weeks previously.

2002 to 2003 : Terry Eames is the club's first manager and 2,449 attend the Dons' opening match at Sandhurst Town and there are 4,142 at their first home game against Chipstead. They finish third in Combined Counties after winning their last 11 games.

2003 to 2004 : An impressive start of 21 victories in a row set the club on course for promotion, achieved under caretaker manager Nicky English after Eames was sacked in January for gross misconduct. They also won the Premier Challenge Cup to record a league and cup double.

2004 to 2005 : Dave Anderson appointed manager and he leads them to the Ryman Division One South title in his first season, leading the division from start to finish. They won the Surrey Senior Cup and recorded a record of 78 league matches without defeat from February 2003 to December 2004.

2005 to 2006 : Defeat in the Ryman Premier play-offs denies them a third promotion in a row and they lose the Surrey Senior Cup final to Kingstonian. The club finally complete their purchase of the Kingsmeadow ground having spent three years raising funds.

2006 to 2007 : The Dons were threatened with an 18-point penalty for playing the ineligible Jermaine Darlington, which was reduced to three points on appeal. A second successive play-off failure spells the end of Anderson's tenure and he is replaced by Terry Brown.

2007 to 2008 : Victory over Staines Town in the play-off final gives Brown promotion in his first year in charge.

2008 to 2009 : The Dons adjust to Conference South football quickly and win the title at the first time of asking on the last day of the season to win promotion to the Conference.

2009 to 2010 : A disappointing end to the season saw the Dons miss out on the play-offs. but their eighth-placed finished meant they ended the season as the country's highest-placed part-time team.

Summer 2010 : The Dons made the decision to go full-time and, after finishing second to Crawley Town in the league, find themselves in the play-off final against Luton Town.
