Ollie Watkins has moved to end speculation linking him with a move away from Brentford this month.

The Bees forward has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 17 goals in 26 league games as they push for promotion.

Such has been the emergence of the 24-year-old since his switch from the wing to centre-forward, clubs from the top tiers in England and Scotland have taken interest.

Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Rangers are all thought to be keen on landing Thomas Frank’s hot-shot who the club value at around £30million but are not required to sell.

Watkins, speaking to Sky Sport gave the West London faithful the news they wanted to hear as he committed himself to the club ahead of their move to their new stadium next season.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he said.

“If you’re doing well there’s always going to be some talk and interest around you.

“It means they’re enjoying what you’re doing on the pitch and that’s a nice feeling really, but I’ve just got to keep focused on my game and help the team to try and do something special this year.”

Brentford fans would be forgiven for expecting the worse when it comes to the transfer windows having lost key players Chris Mepham, Ezri Konsa and Neal Maupay in the last two transfer windows.

Their recruitment and promotion from within however has been exemplary, bringing in Pontus Jansson, Ethan Pinnock and Oliver Mbeumo who have all established themselves in the starting line-up.
