Crystal Palace are monitoring Cenk Tosun’s situation at Everton according to reports.

Palace were keen to land the 28-year-old in January with his Goodison Park future looking bleak.

The Turkish international started just two league games under Marco Silva this season, but the manager’s dismissal may give the forward another chance to impress the incoming boss.

Everton paid £20million to Besiktas in 2017 and was then manager Sam Allardyce’s first choice forward.

Falling out of favour when Silva took charge, it’s thought Palace made enquiries to take Tosun on loan in the last two transfer windows with no luck.

It’s reported Tosun is open to the idea with the 42-cap international keen to prove himself in the Premier League as he looks to settle with his family in the UK.

Silva’s sacking however has made a move uncertain with an incoming manager likely to want to give Tosun a fresh start.

Despite Jordan Ayew’s admirable efforts leading the line, the little in goal return worries Roy Hodgson who is keen to add firepower to his side.

Reports linking Tosun however has not gone down well with the Palace faithful.
