Brentford’s Sergi Canos provided fans with an update on his recovery from knee surgery.

The fan favourite went under the knife after suffering knee ligament damage during his side’s fixture at Nottingham Forest at the beginning of October.

Canos had featured in all 11 of Thomas Frank’s side’s fixtures up until injury struck and has become integral to the Griffin Park outfit since joining from Norwich in early 2017.

The club showed their faith in the former Liverpool youth player and offered Canos a new four-year deal to stay at the club just days after suffering injury.

Taking to social media the Spaniard provided fans with positive news regarding recovery from an injury that many feel will rule him out for the season.

‘I’m walking again!’ Canos said, much to the delight of the Brentford faithful.

There was no timeline given for his return but Frank will look forward to having the versatile winger back in his ranks.

Although recent results would indicate Canos isn’t missed, where Brentford have won six of their last eight, Canos’s ability to play right back, right wing, wing-back, or as a part of a attacking trio would be welcomed by Frank.
