Here's how Brentford's players rated in their 1-0 defeat at Charlton.

David Raya 7

Ball at his feet he looks very comfortable and his distribution was impeccable. Could do little for the goal.

Rico Henry 6

Looked a frustrated figure down the left. Found it difficult against Oshilaja but got more joy when the defender was withdrawn. Picked up a needless yellow card for a late tackle on Jonny Williams.

Ethan Pinnock 7

Stepped up to Championship life this season and looks at home. A huge figure at the back, he dealt with the threat of Jonathan Leko well and made a number of vital challenges. Solid.

Pontus Jansson 8

It looks too easy for him at times. Dealt with Lyle Taylor well and once again proved why he was captain. Lead by example.

Luka Racic 6

The 20-year-old looks settled at the back alongside Jansson. Maybe could’ve closed down Williams quicker in the build up to the Addicks opener but the defender will have a big future.

Henrik Dalsgaard 5

Very quiet game down the right with him and Ben Purrington seemingly cancelling each other out.

Mathias Jensen 6

Surrey Comet:

Ticked things over in the middle of the park and his partnership with Norgaard is improving. He’ll only improve.

Christian Norgaard 5

The more defensive of the midfield duo the former Fiorentina man will be disappointed at being dispossessed for the Addicks opener.

Sergi Canos 6

Had the best of Brentford’s chances but they were only half chances. Looks a little off-form, both in defence and attack, compared to how he finished last season.

Emiliano Marcondes 5

Had a quiet afternoon and was guilty of overhitting a number of key-passes.

Ollie Watkins 5

Found it hard work against a wily Jason Pearce. Can barely remember the forward touching the ball.
