Frank Warren believes the winner of Putney’s Joe Joyce and Bryant Jennings will be catapulted to world level.

The ‘Juggernaut’ Joyce steps in to the O2 Arena ring with American Bryant on July 13, and promoter Warren has issued a warning that both men are capable of upsetting the heavyweight division.

Warren cited Anthony Joshua’s shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr in New York as how one punch can change a fighters destiny.

“I believe the winner of the fight will be in a position of fighting for a world title within eight months," Warren said.

“These are big guys, big punchers, you’ve seen what happened with (Ruiz and Joshua) when big guys let tose bombs go, anything can happen.

“You’re going to get fireworks.

“One big punch can change a whole fight, change a career, change your life.

“And they literally can change their life with their hands.”

Undefeated in nine bouts, 33-year-old Joyce comes in to the bout after impressive wins over Bermaine Stiverne and Alexander Ustinov.

Jennings has three defeats on his impressive 26 fight CV, falling to big names Wladimir Klitschko, Luis Ortiz and Oscar Rivas in his last bout.

The 34-year-old nicknamed ‘By-By,’ remained confident ahead of his first fight in London.

“I haven’t come here to lay down, and they know that, so this will definitely be a great fight.

“This opportunity came and I quickly accepting, because it’s a high-quality fight, my goal is to fight big fights, high risk, good reward.

“I’m always confident, I think I’m going to win.”

Joyce unsurprisingly echoed his opponent’s confidence as the pair exchanged words in the promotion hearing on Wednesday.

“I’ve had a look at what he brings to the table, dissected him, where I can capitalise, he’s big man, fought some good guys with a decent record, it’ll be a good test,” he said.

“But I’m superior in stature, he does have a freaky reach, but I can’t wait, it’ll be a good night, with some heavy hits.

“I throw a lot of punches, punches with force, he’s going to get run over.”
