Harlequins had the brilliance of Danny Care to thank in their 47-33 win against Worcester Warriors according to boss Paul Gustard hailed.

Care, who missed out on England's matchday squads for their opening two Guinness Six Nations matches, scored one of seven tries for the hosts as they triumphed at The Stoop.

Quins moved back up to third with their third straight league win as Joe Marchant, Gabriel Ibitoye, Mike Brown, Jack Clifford, Ben Tapuai and James Lang also crossed the white-wash..

Despite Gustard being left frustrated with his side conceding five tries to Warriors, who claimed a four-try bonus point of their own, he was full of praise for the performance of Care.

"We had the bonus point by half-time so we were in complete control.," he said.

Surrey Comet:

"We were the more dominant team, the key turning point was our scrum at the end of the first half that kind of sealed it.

"In the second half the sin-bin hurt us a little bit.

"We conceded three tries, two when Mike was off. We looked tired, we looked a little bit rusty, so it was great preparation.

"We had the game wrapped up by 45-50 minutes and sometimes when you've got that big a lead momentum goes away from you. The raft of game changers came on and they weren't that effective.

"We'll be looking at ourselves this week because we have higher standards than that.

"Danny Care's a brilliant player otherwise he wouldn't have 80 caps.

"He continues to excite, he continues to innovate and cause problems, and for us he was majestic and deserved man of the match."
