How did Thoms Frank's players rate in his first win as Brentford manager.

Daniel Bentley – not the usual precise passing from Brentford’s number one. Found touch far too often with his distribution but made two vital saves. 6

Moses Odubajo – looked to get forward at every opportunity, but pretty erratic in his final pass. Linked well with Benrahma down the left and had some joy in the first half. 7

Chris Mepham – looks far more comfortable playing with Konsa at the back. Reads the game incredibly well for a man of his age. 7

Ezri Konsa – so composed on the ball and happy to receive it anywhere. 7

Henrik Dalsgaard – didn’t get forward as much as he usually does in the first half and was kept honest by a forever willing runner in Lee Gregory. 6

Sergi Canos – a frustrating first half for the Spaniard but started the second brightly and finished his goal calmly. He looked pretty happy judging by his goal celebration.7

Nico Yennaris – battled well in the middle of the park against a physical side. Spread the ball well and controlled the centre spot. 6

Romaine Sawyers – the engine room of the side, everything that happens with purpose comes from Sawyers. Few passes will stray but only because he’s looking for the killer ball. Another good display from the game-day captain. 7

Said Benrhama – Brentford’s real weapon. A constant threat down the left, Mahlon Romeo will be having nightmares tonight. Unlucky not to open the scoring with a cracker from 20 yards which crashed off the bar. 9

Josh McEachran – always comfortable with ball at feet, but always picking it up deep in his own half. 7

Neal Maupay – a tough day against a very big centre back pairing, but held the ball well and provided a great assist for the Canos’ opener. A real leader of the line.8

Subs:

Ollie Watkins – made an impact and took his goal well. With the game open it suited his style of play as there was plenty of space to run in to. A talent. 8

Josh Dasilva - little time to make an impact but there were signs that Dasilva will be some player. 7
