Madeleine Abela, 16, has been chronically ill missing a year of school but has not let that set her back, recently achieving excellent results in her GCSEs.
Madeleine has now set her sights on helping WarChild, a charity that assists children in war torn countries. She did a 10km run and raised £700 for the charity.
Now she is putting on a Gala Event, on Saturday 2 September at United Reform Church Tolworth from 2-5pm.
The event includes donated goods and services including pop bands and free food including Cawston Press drinks, delicious pies from Higgidys, snacks and chicken and chips from Weldfinn, bread from Gail’s Bakery and much more.
Each guest will receive a goody bag of treats that include Millie Morotto colouring books, Love Corn, Oxford Notebooks Jason Cosmetics, LoveCorn and cute JustDucks for the bath.
There will be a raffle with prizes including a gift pack of Joe and Seph’s Popcorn, and pamper kits from Happy Naturals and Dirty Works, Urban Fruits giftpack, PopSocket phone accessories and a voucher from Baker Days (cake maker). Others have donated equipment and services.
