The UK Home Office in a recent decision threw out the application for Indefinite Leave to Remain of an honest, hardworking family with children after fourteen months waiting in the cold.

Although they submitted a new application and are still waiting for a decision, the Home Office has curtailed their right to work. The family of Debbie and Segun Obafemi and their two little children, one of them disabled, received the sad news when their employers terminated their appointments with immediate effect.

Both Segun and Debbie have lived and worked in the UK for 10 to 12 years and have never at any time being on the wrong side of the law.

They have made the UK their home and fully integrated themselves into life in the community here. But bureaucrats and pen-pushers at the Home Office feel this must stop and have sent this young family out in the cold with no means of survival, as they are not allowed to earn a living while they wait for an outcome, which could take up to six months!

Where is the so-called British justice that we shout about? This is an appeal to the local MP and the political elite to rally round this family and find a solution to the high-handed treatment meted out by the Home Office, who should be out chasing illegal settlers and criminals.
