An ex-Brooklands College student will soon become a household name after getting a part in Eastenders.
Matt Lapinskas, 22, from Staines, was until recently a performing arts student at the Weybridge campus.
He will play the character of Anthony Moon, cousin of Alfie Moon, from August.
Joining Matt on screen will be 1970s pop icon David Essex, who will play his dad Eddie.
He said: "I loved my two years at Brooklands and it gave me a solid grounding for my future career.
"The TV and film acting classes were particularly beneficial in terms of learning techniques such as screentesting, which were definitely useful preparation for life in the industry.
"Brooklands also taught me the business knowledge necessary to market yourself effectively in such a competitive profession."
