In recognition of Shrove Tuesday this year (February 25), Surrey Police described a number of people they were searching for with an artistic twist.
Especially for pancake day, the county police force published the information and faces of possible criminals they are currently hunting in the form of pacakes — "pancake art" as a spokesperson called it — that also leant into thematic puns around the annual day preceding lent.
"This is his likeness of Thomas Michael Cooper," one post regarding a wanted man on Twitter read.
This is his likeness of Thomas Michael Cooper. We’d like to speak to him about a series of burglaries.

"We’d like to speak to him about a series of burglaries.
"We would like to establish if he is a crepe-tomaniac?!" Surrey Police said on the micro-blogging site, referencing wanted Buckinghamshire man Cooper, who has ties to Surrey.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call police on 101, quoting reference PR/45200008887.
Also among the targets of Surrey Police's Shrove Tuesday targets were Daniel Harber (age 20), from Horley, who is wanted on recall to prison.
"If you see him, or know where he is, call us on 101 (ref PR/45200003696)," a police spokesperson said.
