Children who are sick of dog mess littering the streets near their school are fighting back with a poster campaign.

Pupils at St Agatha’s Primary School met with Councillor Andrea Craig and Richmond Park and North Kingston MP Zac Goldsmith, and then ran a competition to promote good manners and hygiene.

Deputy headteacher Sarah Barley said: “The alleyway between the school and Dinton Road is often littered with dog mess, either in bags hanging on branches or the fence, or even just on the ground.

“The children knew perfectly well what needs to be done. They were really on the case.

There were more than 50 entries, but three were chosen as winners.

Kingston Council is going to print the winning posters and post them up in the area.
