It’s that time of the year again when our ears are bombarded with jingles, choirs and Christmas songs.

We might try and zone out from the ubiquitous festive tunes when we start hearing them on the radio or in shops all the time but some of them still stand out, for good reasons and bad.

For some of us there will be one song that really gets on our nerves. It's the song we love to hate but can’t stop singing or the song we simply hate. It's the one that has no meaning anymore besides pain and suffering when it comes on.

What's your most annoying Christmas song? Is it All I want for Christmas by Mariah Carey? Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade? Or is it the 70,000 different versions of Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas?

Can we ever truly forget the copious amounts of covers, like Justin Beiber, Madonna, NSYNC or good old Michael Buble? It’s ok if you have wiped these from your memory as well.

It's not all about the trash, though. There are undoubtedly some great seasonal songs which we love to listen to every year. Who doesn't enjoy Fairytale of New York?

So what’s your most annoying Christmas song? And what's your favourite? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook.
