LEATHERHEAD OPERATIC SOCIETY RETURN AFTER 17 YEARS Leatherhead Operatic Society is celebrating their return to the Leatherhead Theatre years after they were forced to find a new venue when the old Thorndike Theatre closed down. But now they are back and the Leatherhead Theatre will once again become their permanent venue for all future shows and concerts.
To herald their return to the Leatherhead Theatre they are presenting The Sound Of Music. 15th to 18th February with 2 matinees' Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets are from £10 to £18 with concessions for over 60s on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and both matinees.
The Sound of Music is one one of the best musicals to come from the pens of Rodgers and Hammerstein. This lavish production, with its professional sets, costumes, lighting and the L.O.S. seventeen piece professional orchestra lends its weight to the cast of this spectacular musical. From the moment that Maria opens the show with ‘The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music’ you will be captivated, and the children will tug at your heart strings as they tell the story of the Von Trapp family.
