Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after an elderly woman was fell victim to a bank card fraud in Epsom.

PC Clive Farnham, from Reigate and Banstead Neighbourhood Patrol Team, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image as we believe he may be able to assist with our enquiries into a fraud committed against an elderly lady.

“The victim reports being called by someone alleging to be her bank, who claimed that there had been a security breach on her account and that a driver would collect her card from her home.

"The same afternoon (June 6) a total £3,000 was withdrawn from the victim’s account, including a transaction from Barclays on Epsom High Street where this CCTV was obtained.

“Fortunately the funds have been returned to the victim, however this distressing incident has left her understandably shaken.”

If you can help identify the man in the CCTV, you are asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident reference PR/45190058841.
