A husband and wife who run fitness classes in Epsom and the surrounding area are launching a fundraising effort with the Royal Marsden Hospital to raise money for charity.

Sam and Michelle Samman are putting on the “Five Guys Dance-a-thon and Bootcamp Fundraiser” which will take place at Blenheim School in Longmead Road on Saturday, March 23.

The fundraising event will feature indoor dance fitness sessions, as well as an outdoor fitness boot camp.

The event will take place in memory of five husbands of their five friends Sarah, Linda, Sherry, Connie and Lynn.

The “Five Guys” - Larry, David, Richard, Brendan and Nigel – all lost their battle with cancer but fought to the end. The event will continue their fight by aiming to raise a minimum of £2,000.

All proceeds from taking part and the giant raffle they are planning will go directly to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Three dance fitness instructors will also be on hand to guide attendees through various styles of dance in the school hall from 2pm until 4pm and the outdoor fitness team will teach a fun session from 2.30pm until 3.30pm.

The cost is £15 for the dance-a-thon and £10 for the boot camp session, with the minimum age for the dance session being 13 years old, and 16 for the boot camp.

Tickets are already going fast but the venue has a large capacity.

You can book your place by visiting https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/michelle-samman1 - just add your name(s) to your donation and your place is booked.
