A by-election has been called to elect a councillor for Nonsuch ward, after the death of Cllr David Wood who died overnight on July 6 after an illness.
The by-election will take place all day on Thursday, September 20, from 7am to 10pm at local polling stations.
4,500 local residents will be eligible to vote in the by-election, and the last date to register to vote is Tuesday, September 4.
Postal vote applications will be accepted until 5pm on Wednesday, September 5, and the deadline for proxy vote applications is 5pm on Wednesday, September 12.
Receipts of nominations for those applying to stand as councillor will be accepted until 4pm on Thursday, August 2018.
Nonsuch ward in the east of the borough has three seats on the council, all three were won by the Residents’ Association in the last borough elections.
