On St George's Day 1st Walton-on-the-Hill Beaver Scouts carried out a Litter Pick in their local community. Equipped with litter-pick sticks and thick gloves they set off around Howard’s Close Recreation Ground to see what they could find. Each Lodge were challenged to see who could find the most rubbish and, after a lot of litter picking, Owl Lodge were declared winners. The Beavers were amazed at the things they found including a pair of heelys, hanging baskets and even a model helicopter! At the end of the session we carefully sorted all the rubbish into recycling - plastics, cans and glass, and non-recyclables. Well done everyone!
