Students dressed up as the Boy in the Dress, Awful Auntie and other characters from children’s books by David Walliams last week.
Pupils of Banstead Community Junior School donned the costumes to mark World Book Day on Thursday. Walliams, who grew up in Nork, went on a helicopter book tour on the day.
Year 6 teacher Miss Bendall said: "The children at BCJS have really excelled this year in coming to school in amazing and original costumes.
"We have loved taking part in the whole week of s book related activities and hope this helps in creating a life-long love of reading."
