Caremark Mid Surrey is proud to announce their latest fundraising campaign in support of the Alzheimer’s Society. Laura Reeves, Managing Director of Caremark Mid Surrey, has chosen the Alzheimer’s Society following the fantastic support she has seen being delivered at their centre in Dorking which some of her clients attend. The Alzheimer’s Society works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. During the months of July and August, the first one hour’s chargeable care for any new clients will be donated to the charity. Mrs Reeves believes that it is important to show everyone that care companies really do care about the support they provide and that it’s not all about profits – it’s about giving something back to the local community. “The care industry generally gets a bad press a lot of the time, but there is a huge amount of fantastic support being delivered not only by Caremark but by other local providers - this is our way of showing that we recognise that we are just a small part of the overall network of care that is available to people locally when they are at their most vulnerable.” “I really hope that local people get behind us and see that we really are passionate about supporting people who may have been recently diagnosed with dementia, while helping raise vital funds for Alzheimer’s Society. We understand the huge impact this has on the whole family, and we can offer help and advice to everyone affected”

This initiative follows on from a fundraising campaign during the month of June that has seen Caremark Mid Surrey attending local village days where they have been collecting funds and holding raffles all in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Hannah Miller, Community Fundraiser Surrey and West Sussex from the Alzheimer’s Society “We are extremely grateful to Caremark Mid Surrey for choosing to fundraise for Alzheimer's Society. As a charity, we rely on voluntary donations to help us support people to live well with dementia today and fund research to find a cure for tomorrow”
