Many people have grown up with the idea that the roads are there for the parking of their cars – for free.
This is a misconception and the general public, those who use the roads as permanent parking places, need to think again as we are in a multiple-car per family age. Many considerate residents have made provisions for parking their cars off-road.
Cars parked in the road inconvenience all others as well as being eyesores. It is about time that the Epsom and Ewell Council introduced a borough-wide annual charge for road parking. You park in the road, you pay or park off-road!
