A Leatherhead care home’s residents took part in a ‘Make a Guy’ competition for Bonfire Night this week.

Residents at The Beeches Care Home made ‘Guys’ in teams, and Activity Co-ordinators Lisa Harrell and Asa Johnson had to make the tough decision of picking a winner.

Activity Co-ordinator Asa Johnson said that the ‘Make a Guy’ competition was a great way to launch The Beeches’ latest activities programme.

He said: “Providing meaningful and fun events are important to the mental and physical well-being of all older people, so we put on many activities each week.

“The ‘Make a Guy’ competition launched our autumn programme of activities which includes our Diwali party, and then we have the build up to Christmas.

“The residents made some great Guys, and we had quite a task to decide which was the best one. It was a lot of fun and everyone had a good time.”
