Pupils aged five to 11 enthusiastically took part in a poetry competition to mark a national event.
All the children, ranging from Weston Green Primary School year 1 up to year 6, were asked to learn and recite a poem of their choice, with three finalists selected from each year group.
The competition marked National Poetry Day on Thursday, October 2.
Mike Harrison, headteacher, said: "It has been marvelous to see the children engaging so eagerly in the competition; they have giggled at the funny poems they have learnt and heard and revelled in the beauty of poetry, building confidence through their performance and sharing in the joy of a whole school event."
