ONE of the many offerings of this year’s Hereford Photography Festival is an exhibition of photographs by Herefordshire’s John Bulmer, a successful photojournalist during the 1960s and 1970s, who put aside still photography 30 years ago to concentrate on filmmaking.
But before he discovered his love of filmmaking, John produced an interesting and vibrant body of work that has largely remained unseen since its publication in magazines and newspapers including the Sunday Times. John was with the Sunday Times magazine from the beginning, sharing the first cover with David Bailey.
One of the first photojournalists to use colour film, John Bulmer presents images from a world that has disappeared over the last 50 years.
The exhibition, organized by art360 runs at art360 Gallery on Bridge Street until November 25.
