An adults-only exhibition of provocative art is likely to cause a stir when it comes to Croydon.
Disruptive Landscape, a free art exhibition by Ruth Bircham, is a sneak preview of a wider exhibition showing later in the year in Shoreditch.
The exhibition, which contains explicit nudity, reflects “life from all angles” according to the self-taught artist, who is part of art movement Forbidden Fruit.
Miss Bircham, who has a BA in Fine Arts and Combined Media, added: “We believe that the body in any size or shape is beautiful.
“When the art is seen by the viewer these images may reflect their own lifestyles, intimacy, isolations and rigidity.
“These art pieces will be very confrontational.”
As well as the art, by Miss Bircham and other artists, there will be live music by local musicians.
The exhibition takes place on Sunday, July 17 from 6pm to 9.30pm at the Scream Lounge in South End, Croydon.
