Brave knights will be doing battle with an enormous dragon as Croydon’s first 18-hole adventure golf course prepares to open its doors.

The £500,000 development at World of Golf, Addiscombe is due to be launched this summer following a 12-week build, with the aim of bringing children and adults together through the sport.

The Dragon Quest Encounter course, which is being built on disused land next to the existing driving range, will include dragons, Knights, a castle turret and a large waterfall.

World of Golf CEO Grant Wright said: “(It) will be a fantastic day out for all the family and will provide a much-needed family attraction in the area.

“We are certain that the site will create many happy memories and enjoyment for families and we can't wait to unveil it.

“The Adventure Golf course will be ready for the middle of the summer and will be a great addition to the driving range that we already have on site.”
