A new 24-hour Gospel church was welcomed into New Malden by its neighbours this week.
The Brixton Full Gospel Church, a pentecostal Christian church formerly based in Brixton, officially moved into their new home at 2 Alric Avenue, off Coombe Road, on Sunday, August 1.
Organiser David Smith said: “It was a great success. We even had some people from the New Malden Baptist Church who came along to welcome us to the area and join in the festivities.
“Everyone’s looking forward to seeing what comes out of this new beginning.”
Mr Smith said the new church would be the English-speaking sister organisation of the London Shepherd Church, which delivers Korean services.
The Brixton Full Gospel Church will provide regular Sunday services at 2.30pm but its doors will be open 24 hours a day.
