New Malden is set to welcome to the area a new 24-hour Gospel church, following in the footsteps of its Korean partners.

The Brixton Full Gospel Church, a Pentecostal Christian church formerly based in Brixton, will officially move into its new home at 2 Alric Avenue, off Coombe Road, on Sunday, August 1.

Organiser David Smith said the new church would be the English-speaking sister organisation of the London Shepherd Church, which delivers Korean services.

Mr Smith said: “We decided it would be more effective to consolidate our members into one place because we have already had a presence in New Malden.

“Now we’ve finally acquired a building in the area and we’re really excited about welcoming people in.”

He admitted that the church’s name may be under review, so as not to confuse church-goers, but maintained that it would still have strong ties to Brixton.

The Brixton Full Gospel Church will throw open its doors at 2.30pm. For more information call Mr Smith on 07540 876955 or email info@brixtongospel.com.
