A new Japanese restaurant is set to open its doors to diners this weekend in Sutton.

IRO Sushi, one of the UK’s fastest-growing sushi brands, will welcome customers to its first Sutton site at 153 High St, from noon on July 26.

To mark the launch, the first 100 customers will receive a complimentary sushi box selection, while returning customers can enjoy 25 per cent off their entire bill on launch day.

Chhong Sherpa, founder and CEO of IRO Sushi, said: "We are delighted to be opening in Sutton as we continue to grow our presence across the UK.

"The success of our stores in Croydon and Purley — just five miles down the road — has shown us just how strong the appetite is for fresh, authentic Japanese food in this part of the country, and we are confident Sutton will be no different.

"Whether customers are looking for a high-quality, protein-rich lunch or somewhere to catch up with friends and family over dinner, we cannot wait to welcome them through our doors."

Founded in 2014, IRO Sushi now operates more than 30 quick-service restaurants nationwide and serves over 1.1 million customers each year. The menu includes sushi, katsu curry, gyoza, and other hot Japanese dishes.

The brand prides itself on sustainable sourcing, using sustainable and premium seafood from Norway and sauces and toppings imported directly from Japan. Customers have the option to dine in, order a collection for takeaway, or use local delivery platforms for home delivery.

The Sutton store is designed in the style of a traditional Japanese izakaya, with ambient lighting and contemporary finishes. It also features digital touchscreen kiosks to streamline ordering and reduce waiting times during peak periods.

IRO Sushi’s expansion into Sutton follows the success of nearby branches in Croydon and Purley, and continues the brand’s steady growth across the UK.
