A 15-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in a park in Guildford has been pictured for the first time.

Gabriel Guembes was stabbed in Lido Road in Stoke Park on Monday (January 19) at 6.10pm.

He died at the scene.

A fundraiser has also since been set up by Michelle Alayon, a close family friend, to support Gabriel's family.

Michelle described Gabriel as an "amazing son and an incredible young soul".

According to Michelle he was "kind, bright, driven, and full of promise".

She said: "A devoted student, a passionate soccer player, and a loving son, Gabriel had a smile that could light up a room and a heart that touched everyone he met.

“He was deeply loved and will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.”

The fundraiser noted that Gabriel had moved to London from Lima in Peru at a young age with his mother in search of “hope, opportunity and a better future”.

Many other people have shared tributes to Gabriel online, often referring to him as a ‘shots’ – Aldershot Town Football Club – fan.

One person said: “Luis, bro you were my best friend and I hope you can rest in peace.”

Many others shared comments such as “RIP Luis” and “LLL” – which stands for ‘long live Luis’.

It is understood that Luis was a pupil at All Hallows Catholic School.

Michelle claimed the money raised by the fundraiser would "help cover funeral expenses and help ease the overwhelming financial burden facing this family during a time of profound sorrow".

"Any donation, share, or prayer means more than words can express," she added.

"Your kindness and compassion will help carry this family through the darkest days of their lives.

"Thank you for standing with the Guembes family and for helping keep Gabriel’s beautiful spirit alive."

A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference PR/45260006995.
